This is the most important distinction. "Regular" (dyed) tint primarily provides privacy and style. Ceramic Tint uses nanotechnology to block infrared heat, keeping your cabin significantly cooler and protecting your skin from UV rays, even in lighter shades.
No. That is a symptom of cheap, low-quality adhesive and dye. We use premium, color-stable films backed by a lifetime warranty against fading, purpling, bubbling, or peeling.
es! Factory "privacy glass" is just dyed glass—it offers privacy but zero heat rejection or UV protection. We recommend installing a clear ceramic film over the factory glass to block the heat without changing the look, or a darker film for added privacy.
We recommend waiting 3 to 5 days after installation. This gives the mounting solution time to evaporate and allows the adhesive to fully cure to the glass. Rolling them down too early can cause the film to shift or peel.
Not necessarily. With old technology, yes. But with Ceramic Tint, a nearly clear film can block more heat than a pitch-black "limo tint" of lower quality. Heat rejection comes from the ceramic particles, not the darkness of the dye.
Laws vary by state, but generally, a full windshield tint must be clear (like our 70% Ceramic Air Blue). This blocks heat and UV rays without reducing visibility. Darker "visor strips" are usually legal on the top 4-6 inches of the glass.
